About
Forks Plus is a flatware project based in Brooklyn by designer Kelsey Fairhurst. With only one major flatware manufacturer left in the United States, Forks Plus is an attempt to rethink how flatware can be made, outside of mass manufacturing and on a smaller scale.
Shaped through trial and error, the project explores the machinery, processes, and relationships behind small-batch production. Each piece is laser cut, deburred, sanded, formed, tumbled, polished, drilled, powder coated, and assembled by hand.
Flatware is produced in small, limited batches or made to order. Lead time is 5–6 weeks. Orders ship from Brooklyn, New York.
